What age can my child start ballet lessons?

Children can start creative movement or pre-ballet classes as early as age 2.5 to 3.

How long is each ballet class?

Classes range from 45 minutes for toddlers to 60–90 minutes for older or advanced students.

How often are classes held?

Most students attend once or twice a week. Pre-professional and exam-track students may train 2-3 times weekly.

Do you offer trial classes?

Can siblings or friends join the same class?

If they are of similar age and level, yes. We aim to place students where they’ll thrive physically and socially.

Do you offer classes for adults?

Are online ballet classes available?

Selected online classes are available, especially for conditioning, theory, and holiday workshops.

Curriculum & Exams

What ballet syllabus do you follow?

We follow the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) and the Vaganova Method—both internationally recognised and structured for progressive learning. While RAD offers a strong British-based framework focused on safe technique and exam readiness, the Vaganova Method, originating from Russia, is renowned for producing world-class dancers through its emphasis on strength, artistry, and expressive movement.

Is it compulsory to take ballet exams?

Exams are optional but highly encouraged for students on the professional or DSA track.

Do you prepare students for DSA in dance?

Yes. We provide specialised coaching for DSA (Direct School Admission) and audition prep for SOTA and other performing arts schools.

How are students assessed?

Through teacher evaluations, in-class assessments, mock exams, and performance reviews.

Teacher Credentials & Studio Quality

Are your teachers certified?

Yes. All instructors hold RAD certifications, dance degrees, or professional training credentials. Our faculty includes teachers with Vaganova Method backgrounds, bringing elite Russian ballet pedagogy into our classes. All have significant teaching and stage experience, both locally and internationally.

What makes your ballet school different?

We offer access to an international network of instructors with diverse backgrounds, including the prestigious Vaganova Method. Our training combines technical excellence with artistry, supports portfolio building, and guides students toward professional dance careers through performance and development opportunities.

Uniforms & Dance Gear

Does my child need specific dance attire?

Yes. Proper ballet attire (leotard, tights, ballet shoes, and hair neatly tied) is essential for safe and effective training.

Where can we buy ballet gear?

All required ballet attire and accessories can be purchased directly at the school. We also recommend trusted local suppliers and assist with studio orders for RAD-compliant and Vaganova-appropriate uniforms.

Progress & Performance

How do I know if my child is improving?

Teachers provide regular feedback. Parents may also request formal progress reports or attend open class weeks.

Do students get to perform?

Absolutely! We host annual concerts, performance events, workshops, and community showcases to build confidence and stage presence.

Policies & Flexibility

What happens if my child misses a class?

Inform us 24 hours in advance. Make-up classes may be arranged depending on availability.

Yes! We offer themed ballet camps, technique intensives, and crossover programmes during school holidays.
