About Prof. Aleks Farseev

Prof. Aleks Farseev is an acclaimed accordionist and educator, celebrated for his dynamic performances and innovative artistry. Trained in Russia and internationally recognized, his work bridges classical traditions with contemporary expression, captivating audiences across Europe and Asia.

Aleks studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov School and the 4th School of Arts under the mentorship of distinguished teachers including Svetlana Uhno (Concertmaster, Pavel Smirnov Accordion Orchestra) and Prof. Alexey Komarov. His career has taken him to prestigious stages worldwide, performing alongside renowned musicians such as Prof. Alexander Souptel (Concertmaster, Singapore Symphony Orchestra), Prof. Alexey Komarov, and Prof. Gennady Muzika (Principal Double Bass, Singapore Symphony Orchestra).

With a style that blends classical, folk, jazz, and tango, Prof. Farseev’s performances are marked by technical mastery, expressive depth, and a boundary-pushing spirit that redefines the possibilities of the accordion.

Alongside his international career as a laureate of leading competitions and honorary judge on international juries, Prof. Farseev is deeply committed to education. Holding a Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore, he has taught and held professorships at universities in Singapore and abroad. His dual role as performer and teacher allows him to inspire students while continuing to innovate as an artist.
