Mildred Tan Jie Ning is a Singaporean dance artist whose practice bridges contemporary, neo-classical, and cultural dance forms. A graduate of the Diploma in Dance programme at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), she has performed in works by celebrated choreographers such as Jeffrey Tan, Jacky Yu, Ignatius Sim, Shahrin Johry, Dr Filomar Tario, and Son Yu Joung.
Mildred’s foundation lies in classical ballet, having trained under the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus from Grades 1 to 8 with distinctions and merits, and later achieving a Merit in the Advanced Foundation level. Alongside her ballet training, she has actively explored other styles including Bharatanatyam, Korean dance, and dance theatre, cultivating versatility and depth in her performance approach.
She has been featured in major platforms such as NAFA’s Crossings (2021–2023) and the Comma Creative Arts Festival (2024), where she showcased original and collaborative works spanning contemporary and cultural repertoires.
Mildred is passionate about continuing her artistic journey by engaging in cross-cultural exchanges, developing her choreographic voice, and inspiring others through performance.
