Family Class or (Joint Class) or Shared Class

Shared lessons are designed for 2 or 3 people at the same level. It is great for people who have the same goals and interests. Popular combinations include siblings who are close in age, parent-child, couples, and best friends.
This basic class follows the recommendations of child development researchers – grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones, and adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together. Each child participates at his or her own level in playing listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments. Any caregivers – parents, grandparents, can play with the children. The whole family is welcome for this important family music experience.

Music is more than the instruments and voices. It’s more than rhythm and movement. Music is a powerful force that can inspire, create community, and build family bonds. And it can be life-changing to develop our inner music-maker as early as possible.
